What is Mignar 25mg Tablet?

Mignar 25Mg is a medicine which is used to control blood sugar levels in people who suffer from Type 2 Diabetes. The need to control blood sugars is necessary to prevent kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, loss of limbs and sexual functions. The medicine works in the intestines to slow the break down and absorption of carbohydrates from foods that you eat.
Mignar 25Mg Tablet should not be used in case you have allergies. Please tell your doctor in case you suffer from bowel or intestinal problems or kidney issues. Also tell the doctor in case you have fluctuating sugar levels.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.

Uses of Mignar 25mg

  • Mignar 25Mg Use  for the treatment of hyperglycaemia in patients with type 2 diabetes.
  • Miglitol may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by the doctor.

Warnings for special population

  • Pregnancy

    Mignar 25Mg Tab is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine.

  • Breast-feeding

    This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding or to discontinue the drug based on your clinical condition.

Side Effects of Mignar 25mg

In addition to its intended effect, Mignar 25Mg Tablet may cause some unwanted effects too. In such cases, you must seek medical attention immediately. This is not an exhaustive list of side effects. Please inform your doctor if you experience any adverse reaction to the medication.

Storage of Mignar 25mg

Mignar 25Mg Store it at room temperature (15-30°C), and in an airtight container.
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children. - Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
