Eutropin Injection is meant for hormonal therapy. It is used for hormone related growth deficiency disorders, certain intestinal disorders or HIV –related weight loss, stunted growths. It may also be administered for children with genetic disorder who are unable to attain an increase in their height. Eutropin Injection - Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to Eutropin 4Iu is a contraindication. In addition, Eutropin Injection should not be used if you have the following conditions:
  • Active malignancy
  • Acute respiratory failure
  • History of upper airway obstruction
  • Hypersensitivity to metacresol or glycerin and benzyl alcohol
  • Multiple trauma
  • Non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy
  • Open heart or abdominal surgery
  • Pediatric patients with closed epiphyses
  • Use in patients with prader-willi syndrome

Eutropin Injection - Drug Interactions

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Eutropin may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Eutropin Injection may interact with the following drugs and products:
  • Beta blockers
  • Cimetidine
  • Delavirdine
  • Efavirenz
  • Ergonovine
  • Frovatriptan
  • Haloperidol
  • Methyldopa
  • Nitroglycerin
  • Pimozide

Eutropin Injection - Side-effects

The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Eutropin Injection. This is not a comprehensive list. These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious. Consult your doctor if you observe any of the following side-effects, especially if they do not go away.
  • Puffy swollen fingers or ankles or joint
  • Muscle pain
  • Temporary itching
  • Redness at the site of injection
  • Stiffness
  • Numbness in arms or legs
  • Burning sensation or pain in hands or underarms
  • Eutropin Injection may also cause side-effects not listed here.

Storage

Eutropin 4Iu Injection Store in hermetic container at 2~8℃. Do not freeze.
